justanothermnatheist asked: Thank you for your answer! That was neat to hear :) And yes, I agree, why not put rationalism, skepticism, and humanism into the definition? They all seem like synonyms to me. Although, there are some Atheists out there that do not believe in humanity (Humanism)...so maybe that wouldn't be for the best?

The Top 10 Logical Fallacies in Everyday Arguments →
divineirony: Ad hominem Tries to counter an argument by attacking the person, rather than addressing the argument itself. Ad ignorantiam States that a specific belief is true because we don’t know that it isn’t true. Argument from authority Argues that something is true because a respected individual (an individual with authority) says it is. Correlation implies causation Fairly self-explanatory....

anglophonic replied to your photo:The first time I was unfollowed while blogging… Dude, I get 3 or 4 anon hatemails an hour. I have literally given up all hope for humanity. Stay strong though, cos I am definitely a fan Thanks for the kind words.  I’m not really that torn up about it, but I guess I’d rather someone tell me what’s wrong so I can either improve or know that...

Divine Irony: Hitch addressing the 'Stalin'... →
divineirony: Wiener: What about Stalin? He wasn’t religious. [and he committed all those atrocities] Hitchens: Stalin—easier still. For hundreds of years, millions of Russians had been told the head of state should be a man close to God, the czar, who was head of the Russian Orthodox Church as well as… Hitchens is probably the most poignant of the “new atheists” and I...

WatchWatch
I haven’t watched this yet myself, but it’s Michael Shermer, and I always love what he has to say on any topic.  He’s not the best atheist speaker out there, but he is unbelievably clear and refreshing to listen to.  Oh, and he’s a deconverted evangelist Christian, which makes it all the more sweet.  AATS
